The clothes
Wardrobe designer Patricia Field wows us again with colorful, glamorous ensembles by Halston, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Balmain, Valentino, Prada, and so much more. Carrie has a new signature diamond four-leaf clover necklace we fell for almost as quickly as her Christian Louboutins in the opening sequence. In the true spirit of "Sex and the City," most of these items are impractical, flamboyant, and, as noted, perhaps too youthful for the stars to wear, but we love looking at them just the same. We may be even less likely to afford these items in this time of recession, but living vicariously through the girls is a welcome indulgence. The ladies have noticeably aged since the last movie, and certainly since the series, but gratefully, they seem somewhat enlightened about what this means for them as wives, mothers, and above all, as women. All those moments you were worried about from watching the trailer? They are in on the joke. This is why we think the film works. So without giving away any big spoilers, we present the five things you'll love about "Sex and the City 2."
