Q: I want to try a bright shadow on my eyes but I don't want to look crazy? Help!

A: Sweep an electric shade, like turquoise, on just your lower lashline — the hint of color gives your look a subtle twinkle, says Yesenia Almonte, Seventeen's beauty director. Use a flat eyeliner brush to guide the colorful shadow across your bottom lashline, from outer corners in. Do two coats of black mascara on top lashes and one coat on the bottom to finish.

Q: I love the look of nude lipstick. What's the trick to pulling it off?

A: You need to pick a color that works with your skin tone so you don't look washed out, says Shalini Vadhera, founder of Shalini's Global Goddess Beauty line. That means don't go more than two shades lighter or darker than your natural lip tone (Hint: This tip applies to your hair color too). You can also line your lips with a pencil that is slightly deeper than your lipstick for definition. Another foolproof option: use a sheer nudelip gloss.

Q: What's the best way to apply bronzer so it looks natural?

A: According to Dara Klein, celebrity makeup artist, bronzers should make your skin appear warmer, not darker. To achieve this, choose a shade that's only slightly deeper than your skin tone. Use a big brush to lightly dust the bronzer on the areas where the sun naturally hits your face — forehead, chin, nose, and the tops of your cheeks.
